Medicine Hat police set to ‘Cram-A-Cruiser’ in support of Root Cellar food donations
A cruiser from the Medicine Hat Police Service will be packed with food on Thursday as the service teams up with the community to support the Root Cellar Food & Wellness Hub.
The Cram-A-Cruiser event will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Real Canadian Superstore at 1792 Trans-Canada Way S.E., where police members will collect non-perishable food and other needed items for donation to the Root Cellar.
Residents shopping at Superstore are encouraged to pick up an extra item or two and help fill the cruiser from bumper to bumper, with all donations going toward supporting individuals and families in need.
Acting Sgt. Brent Bohrn of the Medicine Hat Police Service’s Community Support Unit said the service is excited to partner with Superstore and the Root Cellar for the event.
