The Mavericks had a 22-34 regular-season record to qualify for the playoffs in 2026 as the fourth seed in the East Division.

In the playoffs, they faced the top-seeded Moose Jaw Miller Express, who were 41-15 on the season.

That best-of-three East Division Semifinal was over in two games, with the Miller Express winning 10-9 at home and then 12-5 at Athletic Park.

The Saskatoon Berries would eliminate the Miller Express in the East Division Finals in two straight 7-4 games.

On Sunday, the Berries won their first WCBL title, sweeping the Sylvan Lake Gulls 2-0.

That included an 11-1 win at home in game two and a 4-1 win on the road to start the series.

Saskatoon had a 6-1 record in the playoffs, only losing one game to the 2025 champion Regina Red Sox in the first round.
