Saturday at the Special Olympics Canada Summer Games

The 2026 Special Olympics Canada Summer Games enter their final day in Medicine Hat on Saturday.

There are medal events in several sports throughout the morning.

All sporting events are free for the public to attend.

Basketball — Medicine Hat High School

  • 8:00 a.m. — Red Rock Division gold-medal game
  • 10:00 a.m. — Medalta and Mavericks Division gold-medal games

Bocce — Big Marble Go Centre

  • 8:00 a.m. — Gold and bronze-medal finals
  • 9:00 a.m. — More bronze and gold-medal finals
  • 10:00 a.m. — Gold and bronze-medal finals across multiple divisions

Soccer — Big Marble Go Centre

  • 8:00 a.m. — Medalta Division bronze and gold-medal games
  • 9:15 a.m. — Tigers Division bronze and gold-medal games; Red Rock gold-medal game
  • 10:30 a.m. — Coulee Division bronze and gold-medal games

Tenpin Bowling — Medicine Hat College

  • 9:00 a.m. — All-Event All-Around Awards

Saturday morning’s High Five Fest from 9 a.m. to noon at Medicine Hat College will be the last opportunity for the public to interact with the athletes, as the Closing Ceremony is closed to the public.
