Pedestrian in life-threatening condition after collision on Gershaw Drive in Medicine Hat

The Medicine Hat Police Service Traffic Safety Unit is investigating a serious collision that left a 26-year-old pedestrian with life-threatening injuries.

Police say the collision occurred at about 2 p.m. on July 25 in the 1500 block of Gershaw Drive SW.

The incident involved a westbound Chevrolet Equinox and a pedestrian.

The woman was transported to Medicine Hat Regional Hospital before being transferred to Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary, where she remains in life-threatening condition.

The occupants of the Chevrolet Equinox were not injured.

The Traffic Safety Unit continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.

Investigators are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage from the area around the time of the collision to contact the Medicine Hat Police Service Traffic Unit at 403-529-8481.
