Parade and rodeo highlight Thursday at Medicine Hat Exhibition and Stampede

A Stampede Royalty Autograph Session takes place at noon.

Then at 1 p.m. it’s the Cowboy Clash at the Grandstand.

Local ranchers will go head-to-head in exciting events like cattle sorting, trailer loading, roping, branding, and more.

The event is included with gate admission.

A variety of things to see and do continue throughout the day.

The second of the three days of the Summer Pro Rodeo is at the Grandstand on Friday at 8 p.m. Events include Saddle Bronc, Bareback, Bull Riding, Tie-Down Roping, Steer Wrestling, Barrel Racing, Team Roping, and Breakaway Roping.

Competitors from the area on Friday include:

• Cypress County’s Zack Knight in Saddle Bronc
• Elkwater’s Wyatt Maines in Bareback.
• Bull Riding has Eatonia’s Dakota Buttar and Consul’s Zane Tully.
• Tie-down Roping includes Medicine Hat’s Quade and Clarke Hughson.
• Tilley’s Delaney Douglas is in the Barrel Racing.
• Irvine’s Travis Nickolson and Cypress County’s Trent Tunke are in Team Roping.

The final day of the rodeo then starts on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.

Friday and Saturday night will also have fireworks at about 10:45 p.m.
