Jun 27, 2026 | 9:30 AM

The Ruck twins have only spent four days apart in their entire lives.

That is unlikely to change as the Pittsburgh Penguins have selected Markus Ruck 39th overall in the 2026 NHL Entry Draft.

Markus’ twin brother Liam, was selected 22nd overall by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the first round of the 2026 NHL Draft last night.

Markus led the CHL in scoring in the 2025-26 season and took home the CHL’s Top Scorer Award, finishing with 21 goals, 87 assists, and 108 points.

Yaroslav Bryzgalov was the next Tigers player selected with the 97th overall pick by the Vancouver Canucks.

The 2007-born Belarusian forward had 55 points in 64 games in his first season with the Tigers in 2025-26.

The rest of the 2026 NHL Entry Draft goes today as several more Medicine Hat Tigers are expected to be selected.
