Bow Island Fire Department responds to a transformer fire on Monday

Bow Island Fire Department (BIFD) was dispatched to a transformer fire near Highway 885 and Township Road 90 on Monday afternoon.

The BIFD said that the County Tender, Engine 2 and Rescue 1 responded.

Once on scene, crews provided fire suppression and cooling of the transformer.

All units were back in service at 7 p.m. on Monday.
