Estevan Bruins signs three more players with Medicine Hat connections

The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League‘s Estevan Bruins have continued to add players with a Medicine Hat connection to their roster for the 2026-27 season.

They recently announced the signings of Medicine Hat forward Kingston Chisholm, Carmangay defenceman Grady McLeod, and Chestermere defenceman Matteo Sartore.

Chisholm and McLeod have played the last three seasons for the South Alberta Hockey Academy, both with the U18 and U17 Prep teams.

Chisholm spent the last two seasons with the U18 Prep team. He ranked third for team goals, assists and points in 2025-26 with 14 goals, 17 assists and 31 points in 30 regular-season games.

He also led SAHA in all three offensive categories at the Canadian Sport School Hockey League Western Championships with three goals and three assists for six points in three games.

Chisholm scored the tournament-winning goal at the CSSHL East-West Challenge in February. He also led the team in assists and points, with three goals, seven assists, and 10 points in five games. He was scoreless in four games at the Circle K Classic.

McLeod played two seasons with the U17 Prep team before joining the U18 Prep team this past season. This season, he had 13 points in 30 regular-season games with four goals and nine assists. At the Western Championships, he had an assist in three games. McLead was scoreless in four games at the East-West Challenge and five games at the Circle K Classic.

Sartore played one season in Medicine Hat with the SEAC Tigers U17 AAA team during the 2024-25 season before joining the Lethbridge Hurricanes U18 AAA team in 2025-26. In 37 games with the Hurricanes, he had a goal and eight assists for nine points, while also racking up 66 penalty minutes.

The Bruins had previously signed Dunmore forward Ty Hynes for next season.
