Medicine Hat Tigers secure fifth 50-win season in franchise history to conclude 2025-26 regular season

The Medicine Hat Tigers picked up an 8-3 victory over the Red Deer Rebels to record their 50th win of the season to conclude the 2025-26 regular season and secure their fifth 50-win season in franchise history.

Andrew Basha led the scoring for the Tabbies, picking up a pair of goals in the win.

Liam and Markus Ruck led all skaters with each netting one goal and adding three assists.

Dayton Reschny, Kade Stengrim, Veeti Vaisanen, and Noah Davidson all added single tallies in the victory.

Jordan Switzer turned aside 25 of 28 shots faced in the crease for Medicine Hat.

All three Red Deer goals came on the power play with Poul Andersen, Talon Brigley, and Kalder Varga finding the back of the net.

A Moose Jaw Warriors loss tonight, combined with the Tigers’ win, has secured the Eastern Conference playoff picture as Medicine Hat will host the Regina Pats in the first round of the 2026 WHL Playoffs.

Red Deer will face the Prince Albert Raiders in round one.
