Bottcher returns to skip position on new team with Walker and Horgan brothers

Mar 16, 2026 | 11:50 AM

Brendan Bottcher is returning to the skip position with a new-look team.

The Alberta-based foursome will include third Jacob Horgan, second Tanner Horgan and lead Geoff Walker.

A Team Bottcher post on social media says the new rink brings together championship pedigree, elite shotmaking and competitive drive.

Bottcher and Walker most recently played together with retired skip Brad Gushue. Bottcher played second and was vice-skip while Walker played lead.

The Horgan brothers, meanwhile, announced their departure from John Epping’s team last month. Jacob served as an alternate for champion Matt Dunstone at the recent Montana’s Brier in St. John’s.

Walker won six Canadian titles, one world title and an Olympic bronze medal on Gushue’s team. Bottcher skipped a different team to a national title in 2021.
