Medicine Hat Tigers aim for regular season series sweep of Lethbridge Hurricanes

Mar 14, 2026 | 12:00 PM

The Medicine Hat Tigers conclude their eight-game regular season series with the Lethbridge Hurricanes tonight inside Co-op Place with an opportunity for their first sweep of the ‘Canes in at least 30 years.

The Tigers enter off the heels of a 6-3 win in Lethbridge last night.

Kade Stengirm led the way offensively, netting a pair of goals while being named the game’s third star.

The Tigers are 7-0-0-0 against the Hurricanes this season and have won 15-straight regular season and playoff games against their Highway 3 rival dating back to December 15th, 2024.

Medicine Hat Tigers forward Markus Ruck enters tonight one point shy of the century mark on the season and has a chance to become the first WHL skater to reach the 100-point plateau.

Meanwhile, Tigers captain Bryce Pickford is deadlocked with Seattle Thunderbirds forward Cameron Schmidt for the league lead in goals with 44.

No defenseman has led the WHL in goals in the modern era.

Pickford sits six goals shy of the single-season record of 50 goals by a defenseman held by Lawrence Sacharuk of the Saskatoon Blades.

Puck drop from inside Co-op Place is slated for 7:00 p.m. MST.

The pre-game show gets underway at 6:30 p.m. on WILD 94.5 FM.
