Alberta Chambers survey reveals separation talk bad for business
Alberta’s chambers of commerce say talk of the province potentially quitting Confederation is bad for business.
Their remarks come after a recent Alberta Chambers of Commerce survey of members and investors found more than half of participants say the separation issue is affecting the provincial economy.
Shauna Feth, the chamber’s chief executive, says businesses have also expressed that planning for the future has become difficult.
Deborah Yedlin, with the Calgary Chamber of Commerce, says investors are waiting to see which direction the province goes.
