Panorama Lanes bowlers win bronze at provincials

A pair of bowlers from Medicine Hat’s Panorama Lanes won bronze at the Youth Bowling Canada Alberta Team Provincial Championships in St. Albert over the weekend.

Competing in the Bantam Girls 9-11 age group, Miaya Boucher and Madelyn Mandryk combined for the third-best score in their category.

Mandryk bowled a 150.67 average over the six games, with Boucher averaging 123.33, to combine for a 137 average.

The pair weren’t far off the 142.42 average that took top spot to advance to nationals.

Also representing Panorama Lanes at the event were Tyson Stabler and Lane Herrmann in the Junior Boys 11-14 age category.

The pair almost reached the podium with 2485 points over six games; they were just three points behind the bronze medal winners.

Stabler averaged 215.67 through the tournament, with Herrmann averaging a 198.5, for a combined team average of 207.1.

In January, Panorama’s Kaige Deering qualified for nationals in the Junior Boys Singles category, taking top spot.

2026 YBC Nationals are May 4-6 in Winnipeg, Man.
