The Medicine Hat Tigers found four unanswered goals in the third period to pull away from the Red Deer Rebels and record their ninth straight win with an 8-4 victory.

Noah Davidson netted a pair of goals for his fifth two-goal game of the season, all of which have been over the last 15 games.

Andrew Basha extended his goal-scoring streak to four games and added a pair of assists en route to being named the game’s second star.

Like Basha, the Tigers captain, Bryce Pickford, also extended his goal-scoring streak to seven straight games after netting his 42nd goal of the season.

Pickford is now tied with Marc Andre-Bergeron for the most goals in a single season by a CHL defenseman this century.

Markus Ruck, Veeti Vaisanen, Cam Parr, and Kade Stengrim all added tallies in the win for Medicine Hat.

Carter Casey made 24 saves on 28 Red Deer shots for his 17th win of the season for the Tigers.

Red Deer saw goals from Kohen Lodge, Poul Andersen, Jiri Kamas, and Kalder Varga in the loss.

Peyton Shore turned aside 29 of 36 Tigers shots before being pulled for Matthew Kondro, who made five saves on six shots.

The Tigers conclude their four-in-five tomorrow night in Edmonton with a chance to clinch the Central Division against the Edmonton Oil Kings.
