The City of Medicine Hat is set to host its first Cultural Forum later this month at the Esplanade Arts & Heritage Centre.

Organizers say the forum is inspired by the Arts, Heritage and Entertainment Plan, and its vision for a vibrant, connected, and collaborative cultural community.

“The Cultural Forum is a space for meaningful dialogue — an opportunity to hear what’s succeeding, uncover what’s needed, and shape our path forward together,” said Aaron Nelson, Acting Director, Community Development with the City.

“Gathering diverse voices in one place helps us strengthen connections, build shared perspectives, and deepen our collective commitment to a stronger, more unified cultural landscape.”

There are six unique sessions listed:

  • Welcome, opening reflection
  • Arts, Heritage, and Entertainment Plan presentation
  • Guided walking tour
  • Marketing fundamentals workshop
  • Collaborative outreach and event coordination
  • Networking

Registration opens to the public on Friday.

Organizers say that artists, organizations, businesses, and community members who are passionate about arts, heritage, and entertainment are welcome to attend and be part of the ongoing conversation.

Those interested are encouraged to register and secure their spot while tickets are still available at Tixx.ca.

The free event is on March 23 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The event schedule and more information about the Cultural Forum are available on the event page.
