Southeast Alberta has 31 athletes competing at the 2026 Alberta Winter Games

The 2026 Alberta Winter Games run from Feb. 13-16, in northern Alberta’s Lakeland Region.

Events will take place in the municipal district of Bonnyville, the town of Bonnyville, the city of Cold Lake, and the village of Glendon.

Thousands of youth athletes from across the province will compete at the games, with 31 athletes representing southeast Alberta.

That includes 26 from Medicine Hat and one from each of Cypress County, Redcliff, Seven Persons, Foremost, and Acadia Valley.

The Alberta Winter Games started in 1976 and were hosted in Medicine Hat in 2016.
