The Medicine Hat Tigers secured their 19th straight win and 2000th win in franchise history, 7-3 over the Edmonton Oil Kings.

Tigers defenseman Bryce Pickford set a single-season franchise record for goals by a defenseman with his 33rd of the season, a goal that would go on to serve as the eventual game-winner.

Pickford’s goal also set a WHL Internet-era record for goals in a single season by a blueliner.

Liam Ruck added a pair of goals and an assist, while his twin brother Markus added one goal and three assists in the win.

Jonas Woo, Shaeffer Gordon-Carroll, and Andrew Basha also added tallies in the win.

Tabbies goaltender Jordan Switzer turned aside 18 of 21 shots for his league-leading 21st win of the season.

Medicine Hat dominated the special teams department, going three of four on the power play and penalty kill in the win.

The Tigers are back in action on home ice tomorrow night as they host the Prince Albert Raiders in a battle of the top two seeds in the Eastern Conference.
