Oyen RCMP arrest man for multiple fraud charges related to a combine sale

A 36-year-old man is facing multiple fraud-related charges after an investigation by Oyen RCMP.

Mounties initiated the fraud investigation on Oct. 21, 2025, when a company in the Oyen area reported that one of their combines had been repossessed.

The RCMP were told that the company believed this occurred due to a forged bill of sale.

After a lengthy and detailed investigation that involved assistance from the Leader RCMP, Oyen RCMP arrested and charged Ryan Michael Bennett, formerly of the MD of Acadia.

Charges include seven counts of fraud over $5,000, forging a document, and uttering a forged document.
