Alberta RCMP caution against travel across the province on all roads

Alberta RCMP are cautioning against travel on Alberta highways due to heavy snowfall creating whiteout conditions in some areas of the province.

Southern, central and northern Alberta are affected, and police anticipate ongoing road closures.

The RCMP say portions of Highway 2 are currently closed, preventing northbound access at Calgary and southbound travel at Red Deer.

Emergency responders are assisting stranded motorists following multiple collisions in the Didsbury and Airdrie areas.
