Quonset Days lineup announced for 2026

Retro Saturday brings to the stage a pair of American country music artists, mixed in with some local talent. The co-headliners are Montgomery Gentry featuring Eddie Montgomery and Phil Vassar. Opening up will be Phoenix, and Fox & The Hounds.

“We’re excited for another great lineup that includes some incredible Alberta talent as well as a retro-themed night that Quonset Days fans are going to love,” Co-founder Trevor Biemans said.

“Hitting the one-million-dollar mark this year was a moment our family will never forget. It showed what this community can do when we come together. We’re proud of how far this event has come, and we’re just as excited for where it’s going.”

Trevor Biemans is the son of the late Peter Biemans, in whose honour the event was created.

Peter passed away in August 2009 after a hard-fought battle with ALS, also referred to as Lou Gehrig’s Disease.

Friday’s headliner Townes, from Grande Prairie, is a five-time Canadian Country Music Association Female Artist of the Year. Popular songs of hers include “Somebody’s Daughter”, “I Ain’t Ever Loved No One”, “Where You Are”, “Jersey on the Wall – I’m Just Asking”, and “Backfire”.

Goodvin, also from Northern Alberta, by way of Spirit River, has charted multiple singles on the Billboard Canada Country charts. His best-known song is “Lonely Drum.”

Walker, an East Coast country artist from Prince Edward Island, has been on the scene since 2019. Some of her most well-known songs include “The Whiskey’s Gone” and “Red Wine or Whiskey”. Her single, “First Time Living,” released in 2025, also features Gretchen Wilson.

Chevelle 454 are a rock-and-dance cover band. Based out of Lethbridge, the band has two original members carrying on from The Chevelles, who performed together for 25 years.

Saturday’s co-headliner, Montgomery Gentry out of Kentucky, started in 1999, with Eddie Montgomery touring as a solo act since 2017. Two of the band’s biggest hits include “Where I Come From” and “Something to Be Proud Of”. The band won the Country Music Association Vocal Duo of the Year in 2000.

Saturday’s co-headliner, Vassar from Virginia has been on the country music scene since 1997, starting as a songwriter before launching a singing career in 1999. Some of his top songs include “Just Another Day In Paradise”, “Little Red Rodeo” and “Carlene”.

Phoenix has been entertaining in the Medicine Hat area with country music for 40 years.

Fox and the Hounds is a Medicine Hat country music cover band including Morgan Klaiber, Jamie Fox, and several other local musicians.

Ticket sales for the event begin on Wednesday, Dec. 10 at 10 a.m. online at quonsetdays.com
