Municipal Forums continue in Brooks Wednesday, Dunmore Thursday

The Southeast Alberta Chamber of Commerce is hosting a municipal election forum in Brooks tonight.

The doors will open at the Griffin Park School Theatre at 5 p.m. with a candidate meet and greet.

Eleven of 12 councillor candidates will participate in an hour and 45 minute forum starting at 6 p.m.

The candidates set to attend are Emelcris Aurelio, Carly Bryant, Chad Falkenberg, Clayton Heck, Mohammed Idriss, Jackie Johnson, Ryan ‘Skippy’ Mobbs, Anne-Marie Philipsen, Paul Post, Mike Regner, and Marissa Wardrop.

Mara Nesbitt is the only candidate not attending.

The two mayor candidates will then have an hour long forum starting at 8 p.m.

Candidates include Joel Goodnough and Norm Gerestein.

The Chamber will be hosting a forum for candidates in Cypress County Thursday at Eagle Butte High School from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

An election forum will be held for the Town of Redcliff on Tuesday, Oct. 15. A time and venue for that event is still to be confirmed.
