Medicine Hat’s Ayomanor makes first NFL touchdown catch

Sep 15, 2025 | 5:28 PM

Medicine Hat’s Elic Ayomanor caught his first career National Football League touchdown late in the second quarter of a game against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday.

The 22-year-old wide receiver was playing in only his second regular season contest when he made the grab. A few plays earlier in the drive Ayomanor had made a one handed grab to bring the Titans in striking distance of the end zone.

Ayomanor’s first touchdown reception was also the first touchdown pass of teammate Cam Ward, who was drafted first overall in the 2025 NFL Draft.

The pair connected four times in the contest for 56 yards, after connecting for 13 yards on 2 catches by Ayomanor in the regular season debut for the two NFL rookies the week prior against the Denver Broncos.

A video of the touchdown pass is available to watch through the game highlights on the NFL YouTube channel.

The Titans dropped the contest 33-19 to the Rams, and will be back in action for Week 3 when they host on the 2-0 Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.

The Colts are the only other NFL team to have ever had a player from Medicine Hat on their roster.

Offensive lineman Dan Federkeil played three season for the Colts from 2006-2009 winning a Super Bowl in 2006.

Ayomanor was selected in the fourth round of the 2025 NFL Draft with the 136th overall pick becoming the first player from Medicine Hat ever drafted into the league.
