Cypress County under fire restriction as of Friday morning

Hotter and drier conditions has put Cypress County under a fire restriction as of 9 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 12.
The restriction means no fireworks, but burn barrels, recreational campfires and barbecues are still allowed.
Fire pits must be less than 36 inches in diameter, 10 feet from anything combustible and have water readily available.
Internal household fireplaces, propane or natural gas-fueled appliances, wood pellet smokers, incinerators, burning barrels and chimeneas are still allowed.
