Air quality warning in Medicine Hat at high risk, expected to decrease

Wildfires burning throughout western Canada, has put Medicine Hat under an air quality advisory from Environment Canada due to smoke.

The Air Quality Health Index had dropped to a moderate risk of six, but bounced back to a high risk of 7 before noon.

The air quality is expected to be a moderate risk of four by Thursday evening.

Friday is expected to improve even more to a low risk at a three rating.

The warning advises people to limit outdoor activity until these conditions improve.
