Cypress County enacts fire ban

Cypress County has enacted a fire ban due to extreme fire hazard conditions.

The ban went into place at noon on Wednesday, coming two weeks after a fire restriction had been put in place by the county.

The following are currently not allowed:

• Fireworks
• Incinerators
• Burning Barrels
• Solid fuel barbecues (charcoal)
• Recreational campfires
• Chimeneas
• Fire in designated camping and recreational areas
