Former Medicine Hat Tigers defenceman Hodass signs ECHL contract

A former Medicine Hat Tigers defenseman has signed an ECHL contract with the Iowa Heartlanders.

The 21-year old from Latvia played the last three seasons with the Tigers.

He put up 87 points in 178-regular season game to go with an assist in nine post-season games.

Hodass was one of the Tigers’ three overage players last season.

The ECHL is a North American minor professional hockey league, a tier below the American Hockey League, which is a developmental league for the National Hockey League.
