Work is anticipated to begin as early as Thursday on four bridges over the Trans-Canada Highway in Medicine Hat.

Two of them are over Box Springs Road, and the other two span Saamis Drive.

In all cases, work to repair cracked girders will be done from below, so no lane closures are required on Highway 1 itself.

However, there will be one lane traffic only and speed reductions to 50 kilometres per hour on Box Springs Road and Saamis Drive while the work is underway.
