Heat warnings in place across southern Alberta
A heat warning is in effect for the area with a high temperature of 33 C on Friday and 38 C on Monday in the forecast for Medicine Hat.
Environment and Climate Change Canada issued warnings this afternoon for much of southern and Central Alberta.
Heat warnings are issued when very high temperature conditions are expected to pose an elevated risk of heat illnesses, such as heat stroke or heat exhaustion.
Residents of and visitors to the warned regions are advised to take the following precautions to protect themselves, their families and their neighbours:
