City hopes to open three spray parks Friday, Kiwanis Central not until July
MEDICINE HAT, AB – A change in the city’s spray park plans means Hatters will have three ways to beat the heat this weekend but the fourth park won’t open until July.
Parks and recreation staff are beginning work to reopen Strathcona Island, Ross Glen Towne Centre and Saamis Rotary spray parks for the summer season on Friday, May 19, says the City of Medicine Hat in a news release.
Work to open the Kiwanis Central spray park must be delayed until early July due to construction.
On Monday, the city announced plans to open Strathcona Island and Kiwanis Central parks on May 19, with the other two slated for opening on May 26.
