Saskatchewan budget projects $1B surplus, more money for health care
REGINA – The Saskatchewan government is projecting a $1-billion surplus in its budget.
The province says it plans to spend most of the money on its operating debt.
Millions of new dollars are also going to the province’s struggling health-care system, with plans to hire more staff and complete more surgeries.
Finance Minister Donna Harpauer says there will be no new taxes or tax cuts.
