Rattlers Roundup: Winning start to second half for men’s volleyball team

MEDICINE HAT, AB – The break is over and the Medicine Hat College Rattlers returned to the hardwood and ice last week.

The men’s volleyball team hosted University of Alberta-Augustana on Friday and started the 2023 schedule with a three sets to one win. The women’s team fell in straight sets.

The volleyball teams will host Briercrest College on Friday and Saturday.

The Rattlers basketball teams played Ambrose University twice. On Thursday at home, the Rattler men fell 90-84 and followed that with an 88-82 loss at Ambrose on Saturday. It was the same story for the women’s team, which lost 90-47 and 78-41.

They’ll be on the road playing Briercrest this weekend.

The Rattlers futsal teams shook off some rust with exhibition games against Lethbridge College before the ACAC schedule begins next month. The women’s hockey team also saw exhibition action taking on the Lakeland Rustlers in Lloydminster. No scores were available for the exhibition action.
