MEDICINE HAT, AB – The labour market survey from the college will not only focus on what skills are needed right now, but what will be needed in three to five years as industries change.

The college says the survey is not only meant for their own benefit, but for skilled workers and businesses around the region to learn how they need to adapt. In order to do so, they need any many people to fill it out as possible to gather a proper study

Dean of the school of health and community services Jason Openo says the survey is important in learning what current skilled workers and people looking to enter the workforce need to be doing to stay competitive.

“We’re surveying employed individuals to really come to an understanding, because there are skills that you probably didn’t need to have five years ago but now you need to have. And really talking to employed individuals about what are the skills you need for yourselves or your company to remain competitive in an ever-changing workforce.”
