Brooks man dies in head-on crash

NEWELL COUNTY, AB — A 46-year-old-man from Brooks was killed in a crash Wednesday on Highway 36.

Brooks RCMP say it happened at around 6:30 p.m. near Highway 873.

Initial investigation revealed the collision was head-on and involved a semi- truck and a car.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the semi was not physically injured.

Mounties say no further information will be released.
