Amplify Medicine Hat – Country Crumbs Bakery & Cafe

Local business is the cornerstone of Medicine Hat, that’s why we’re asking you to Amplify Medicine Hat by nominating local businesses we can highlight and support.

One nomination we received is for Country Crumbs Bakery & Cafe. Husband and wife Joe and Jodi Desjardins opened the downtown spot in December. They moved to Medicine Hat about a year before from Innisfail, where they operated a successful bakery for more than a decade. The Facebook page is filled with photos that will have you drooling, everything from Banana Cream Pie Tarts and Black Forest Cake to Egg Pasta Salad and Pepperoni Rolls.

The nominator describes the Desjardins as representative of our community: Friendly, inviting, talkative, joyful, hardworking and accepting of everyone that stops by.

“For those who live here, they are a comforting daily visit, offering delicious treats and even better coffee.”

For visitors to our town, they are a perfect example of what our downtown can offer. One those just passing through surely won’t forget.”
