Death of 65-year-old in Lethbridge ruled a homicide, one man in custody

LETHBRIDGE, AB – One man is in police custody in relation to a homicide in the city.

On Monday, Lethbridge Police responded to a residence in the 1200 block of 4 Avenue South following a report of someone screaming for help. Officers discovered the body of a deceased 65-year-old man inside the home.

The death was initially deemed suspicious in nature and the matter was turned over to the Criminal Investigation Section. On Tuesday, Feb. 9, the Medical Examiner’s Office in Calgary confirmed the cause of death as a homicide.
