COVID-19 update: Province confirms 348 new cases

EDMONTON, AB- There are 348 new cases of COVID -19 across the province. The total number of active case numbers in Alberta stands at 6,266.

The province also confirmed 12 deaths.

The province said 457 people are in hospital with 84 in intensive care.

A total of 10,033 tests were completed, giving the province a positivity rate of 3.6 per cent.

Here in Medicine Hat, there are 14 active cases, 504 recoveries and 14 deaths.

Cypress County has two active cases 143 recoveries and no deaths attributed to the pandemic.

The County of Newell has two active cases 154 recoveries and two deaths.

The City of Brooks also has two active cases, 1346 recoveries and 14 deaths.

The Municipal District of Taber has four active cases, 322 recoveries and six deaths.

Lethbridge County has 19 active cases, 492 recoveries and seven deaths.

The City of Lethbridge has 166 active cases, 1610 recoveries and 13 deaths.

On Monday Feb. 8, the province will be entering Step one towards easing restrictions.
