EDMONTON – The deadline is just over one month away for nominations to the Alberta Order of Excellence in 2021.

Nominations for remarkable citizens, leaders and innovators must be received by Feb. 15 to be considered for this year.

In a release, the province says it will induct up to 10 individuals into the Order this year in recognition of remarkable contributions to their community, the province and beyond.

Nominees must be Canadian citizens currently residing in Alberta and, if selected, must be able to attend the investiture ceremony. People cannot nominate themselves, their spouse or a member of their immediate family.

Information about the Order, including nomination guidelines, nomination forms and biographies of previous inductees, is available on the Alberta Order of Excellence website or by calling 780-449-0517.

Nominations not selected in 2021 will be considered for up to three years, and nominations are accepted throughout the year.
