Weapon used in robbery on South Railway Street

MEDICINE HAT, AB – A suspect walked away with an undisclosed amount of money and merchandise after a liquor store robbery on Monday evening.

Medicine Hat police say an unknown male entered a South Railway Street liquor store just before 8 p.m. Monday, produced a weapon and demanded cash. The male then fled the area.

There were no physical injuries sustained during the robbery.

Police do not name the liquor store in the release but the calls for service page on the MHPS website lists a robbery call in the 1000 block of South Railway Street, where Track Side Liquor Store is located.

The Medicine Hat Police Service Major Crime Section is investigating and will provide updated information to the community as the investigation evolves.
