Saskatchewan residents left out of WestJet’s COVID travel insurance
Sep 15, 2020 | 1:19 PM
WestJet is offering a new no-fee, COVID-19 related travel insurance for its guests, but Saskatchewan residents are the only Canadians who don’t qualify.
The airline has posted an article about the insurance on its website.
It says the insurance is effective from Sept. 18 to Aug. 31 of next year for people travelling to Europe, the U-K, Mexico and the Caribbean but not to the U-S or on cruises.
WestJet says they are working to try to provide insurance in the province, but an Air Canada spokesperson says they don’t because of the province’s regulatory requirements.
