Quebec closes more public spaces
QUEBEC CITY, QC–Quebec Premier Francois Legault is taking extreme measures to stop the spread of COVID-19, asking for the closure of public places such as bars, gyms, libraries and movie theatres.
There is no current time table as to when they could re-open.
At a news conference in Quebec City, Legault said the jump in confirmed cases justified the need for greater social distancing efforts after Quebec reported 11 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the province’s total to 35.
He said restaurants could stay open but asked that the capacity be cut by 50%.
