FORT MACLEOD, AB – Environment Canada has issued wind warnings for a few regions in southwest corner of the province.

This includes areas like the Crowsnest Pass, Pincher Creek, the Piikani Reserve, Waterton, the Blood Reserve including Standoff, Cardston, Magrath, and Fort Macleod.

“Strong westerly winds associated with a low-pressure system crossing northern Alberta will bring gusts of 100 km/h later this afternoon to areas along the southern foothills,” reads the warning from Environment Canada.

They say loose objects may be tossed by the wind that could cause injury or damage.
