Tigers defeat ICE 5-2

MEDICINE HAT, AB – The Medicine Hat Tigers stood tall in their first meeting with the Winnipeg ICE this season.

Tyler Preziuso scored twice, while goaltender Garin Bjorklund made 32 saves on 34 shots, as the Tigers pulled away with a 5-2 victory at the Canalta Centre.

Elijah Brown, Ryan Chyzowski and Cole Sillinger added the remaining goals for the Tigers. Brett Kemp had two assists.

Jakin Smallwood and Connor McClennon both scored for the ICE. Goaltender Jesse Makaj made 29 saves on 33 shots during the game.

The Tigers host the Red Deer Rebels at the Canalta Centre Saturday night for the Pink in the Rink game. The Tigers will wear special pink jerseys, which will be auctioned off, with all proceeds going to the Canadian Cancer Society. The game begins at 7:30 p.m.
