Medicine Hat Tigers conclude preseason tonight against Swift Current

The Medicine Hat Tigers take on the Swift Current Broncos in Shaunavon, SK, tonight as they conclude their 2026 WHL Preseason action ahead of the start of the regular season next weekend.

The Broncos defeated the Tigers in come-from-behind fashion, 4-3 in a shootout last night, handing the Tigers their first loss of the preseason.

After appearing in each of their last two preseason games, Tiger forwards Josh Evaschesen and Arvid Drott will get the night off, with Tigers 2026 first-round pick Max Osgood and 2024 first-round pick Luke Ruptash slotting in in their place.

Ben Meyer will get his first start in goal of the preseason for the Tigers, with Cash Christie serving as the back-up.

Meyer played the second-half of the Tigers opening game of the preseason, turning aside seven of eight shots faced.
