Cypress County lifts fire ban, moves to fire advisory

Cypress County has lifted its fire ban and downgraded to a fire advisory on Monday, following the latest wildfire data from Alberta Wildfire.

The change is in accordance with the County’s Bylaw 2023/06.

Under the advisory, recreational campfires, charcoal barbecues, household fireplaces and propane or natural gas appliances are now permitted.

Wood pellet smokers, incinerators, burning barrels and chimeneas are also allowed.
