“Jack’s two seasons in Brooks were each unique. His first year was one of transition under then Head Coach Ryan Papaioannou, but throughout that time he consistently demonstrated an outstanding work ethic, determination, and a willingness to be coached,” Labrie said in a statement.

“Those qualities allowed Jack to grow into an important leader and a major contributor to our team success this past year under Dakota Mason. We wish Jack and his family nothing but continued success in this exciting next chapter.”

Niagara University, located in Lewiston, N.Y., competes in the Atlantic Hockey America conference.
