Both brothers are expected to be drafted within the first few rounds of the 2026 NHL Entry Draft scheduled for Friday and Saturday in Buffalo. Markus is ranked 23rd among North American Skaters, and Liam is ranked even higher at number 20.

They are coming off a 2025-26 season where they finished as the top two players in CHL points, with Markus at 108 and Liam at 104.

Former Tigers teammate Gavin McKenna is expected to go first overall to the Toronto Maple Leafs on Friday.

The Western Hockey League also released its 2026 pre-season schedule on Monday.

The Tigers are set to play four exhibition games ahead of the regular season.

Medicine Hat opens the pre-season on Tuesday, Sept. 1, in Lethbridge before hosting the Hurricanes at Co-op Place on Saturday, Sept. 5. The Tigers then welcome the Swift Current Broncos on Friday, Sept. 11. All of those games have a 7 p.m. start time.

On Saturday, Sept. 12, the Tigers will travel to Shaunavon to play against the Broncos, this time at 5 p.m.

The Tigers start their 2026-27 WHL Season with a home-and-home against their Highway 3 rivals.

They will head to Lethbridge to take on the Hurricanes on Friday, Sept. 18, before hosting the Hurricanes at Co-op Place on Saturday, Sept. 19.
