Mustard Seed is recognizing volunteers during National Volunteer Week in Medicine Hat
The Mustard Seed is marking National Volunteer Week and International Volunteer Month by recognizing the contributions of volunteers in Medicine Hat and across Western Canada.
The non-profit, which supports people experiencing poverty and homelessness, says volunteers remain central to its operations in communities, assisting with meals, outreach and wellness programming.
Across its Western Canada locations, more than 5,200 volunteers contributed over 97,000 hours of service in 2025, supporting programs ranging from shelter services to community outreach.
To mark the week, the organization will launch its first Community Impact Awards, recognizing four volunteers from different cities for their exceptional commitment, compassion and service in their communities.
