Spring street sweep schedule set by City of Medicine Hat

Street sweepers will be on the streets of Medicine Hat starting later this month.

The City of Medicine Hat has set the schedule for its annual spring street sweeping program.

Throughout the winter months, sanding materials and debris accumulate on roads, sidewalks and boulevards and are cleaned up in the spring.

The program starts on March 30, weather permitting.

Day sweeping will take place on the arterial and collector roadways from March 30 to April 2, and again from April 13 to completion, which is anticipated around April 24. School Zones will be completed over the Easter break from April 6 to 10.

Night sweeping will take place on medians, bridges, and boulevards from March 30 until completion, which is anticipated around April 24.

Residential Sweeping will begin on April 27 with Zone One, which includes the downtown area.

The dates for the city’s other zones will be determined as street sweeping begins in each zone.
