Mar 14, 2026 | 9:56 PM

It wasn’t pretty, but the Medicine Hat Tigers managed to claw back from three separate two-goal deficits to defeat the Lethbridge Hurricanes 6-5 in overtime.

Liam Ruck played overtime hero, finishing off a Bryce Pickford breakaway chance for his 43rd goal of the season and second of the night to secure the win.

Kade Stengrim netted his first career Western Hockey League hat-trick and managed to tie the game at five for the hat-trick tally.

Markus Ruck added a goal and a pair of assists to become the first WHL skater to surpass the 100-point plateau this season.

Jordan Switzer faced limited action tonight, turning aside 12 of 17 shots faced tonight in the come-from-behind win.

With the win, the Tigers complete their first regular-season sweep of the Lethbridge Hurricanes in franchise history.

Lethbridge saw a pair of goals from Kai Anderson and singles from Kayden Longley, Tomas Malinek, and Oli Chenier.

Leif Oaten was peppered in goal for the Lethbridge Hurricanes, making 38 saves on 44 shots.

The Tigers wrap up their regular season next weekend with a home-and-home against the Red Deer Rebels.
