Despite allowing the opening goal of the game, the Medicine Hat Tigers would score the final eight goals of the night to defeat the Swift Current Broncos 8-1.

Liam Ruck and Luke Cozens led the charge offensively, striking for a pair of goals while Cozens added an assist en route to being named the game’s first star.

Dayton Reschny, Kadon McCann, Noah Davidson, and Jonas Woo rounded out the Tiger scoring, each adding singles in the win.

The Tigers special teams were spectacular tonight, going three for three on the power play and nine for nine on the penalty kill, including a shorthanded goal.

Carter Casey turned aside 17 shots in the win for the Tigers.

Archer Cooke stopped 19 Tiger shots through 40 minutes in the loss.

Aiden Eskit took the crease for the final 20 minutes for Swift Current and fended off nine of 11 Tiger chances.

The lone Bronco goal came off the stick of Stepan Kuryachenkov for his 12th of the season to open the game’s scoring.

The Tigers are off until next Friday night when they head to Red Deer to battle the Rebels.
